Preventative Maintenance Checklist (Glasgow)

PM Checklist (Glasgow)

Conveyor Checklist

Inspect Roller Up area for proper operation, specifically fork alignment, and freedom of travel at the take-up section. *
Remove take-up grate and inspect clear air lines feeding into black conveyor shocks (2) for any air leaks *
Check for hydraulic oil leaks around silver fittings feeding into drive motor and speed reducer at drive section at exit of tunnel. Make sure E-STOP is activated! *
Check for sprocket alignment and sprocket wear at both take-up & drive sections. Forks should be perfectly centered on chain and stay this way while running. *
Wipe excess dirt and grime off the take-up slides with a clean rag *
Grease take-up shaft bearings with 1-2 pumps per grease zerk using Marine Grease (blue colored) *
Check the chain tension bolt, if less than 1” remove a chain link *
Check the position of the carriage on the slide tube, if there is less than ½” between the carriage and split collar a link should be removed *
Spray lubricant (white lithium grease) on the air cylinder rod end and clevis. *

Straight Arm Exit Wraps

Inspect the Spring Flex Couplings for secure mounting and freedom of movement and grease the spring flex couplings universal joints as required. *
Grease the brush hanger pillow block bearings. Do not allow grease to come in contact with brush cloth. (MONTHLY)
Grease the brush shaft four bolt flange bearings. Do not allow grease to come in contact with brush cloth *
Check Condition of ALL (4) rubber bump stops *
Check shocks functionality and make sure they have not gone bad by pulling to center and releasing. Wrap should return smoothly. *
Inspect air cylinders for functionality (Pull wrap to center and release) *
Inspect air lines feeding into air cylinders for any air leaks *

Mitters

Check gear reducer oil level and fill as necessary.
Grease the rod end on both ends of the drive arms with spray lithium grease.
Inspect all plastic bearings for wear. Order new bearings if center hole is "egg shaped"
Inspect all hardware and fittings for tightness.

Top Motor Side Washers

Check all hydraulic, air and chemical lines and fittings for leaks. Repair, or replace, as needed.
Check both brush units for proper orientation, listening for any unusual noises from the equipment.
Grease the brush shaft four bolt flange bearings - 1-2 pumps marine grease. Do not allow grease to come in contact with brush cloth.
Inspect all hardware and fittings for tightness.
Grease the brush hanger pillow block bearings. Do not allow grease to come in contact with the brush cloth. (MONTHLY)
Inspect brush cloth for cuts, grease or oil. Remove and repair, or replace, any cloth panel if these conditions are found.

Tire & Wheel Brush

Check all lines and fittings for leaks. Repair, or replace, as needed.
Check the brushes for grease, oil, or foreign objects and clean if necessary.
Check both tire brushes for proper orientation, listen for any unusual noises and check for vibrating, bouncing and trueness.
Grease the rotational bearings on the tire brush shaft. (Located on ends of tire brush)
Clean tire brush thoroughly using HP Spray Down.
Grease all pivotal bearings on tire brush framework using marine grease (1-2 pumps per bearing) 8 bearing per brush, 16 total.
Inspect all hardware and fittings for tightness.
Inspect brush for wear.
Manually check the retract operation to ensure proper travel and smoothness of operation.

Omni HP Rinse

Check all lines and fittings for leaks. Repair, or replace, if necessary.
Check for proper orientation, listen for unusual noises and check for proper tracking. (Omnis move with "ghost car" targeting wheels)
Inspect the spray nozzles for excessive wear and clogs, replace if necessary.
Check all plastic bushing for wear and schedule replacement if necessary.
Inspect all hardware and fittings for tightness.

Tire Seal

Check all lines and fittings for leaks. Repair, or replace, if necessary.
Check the brushes for damage, grease, oil or foreign objects.
Check retract/extend for proper operation. Check for smoothness in return to home position.
Grease all rotational bearings on the brush. 1-2 pumps per bearing (2 total)
Grease all pivotal bearings on the framework. 1-2 pumps per bearing, 16 total.
Spray lubricant on the clevis pins on both ends of the retract air cylinders.

Vacuums

Open upper chamber and ensure all separator bags are empty and securely connected.
Open lower chamber and empty collector box into trash can
Using RED lithium grease gun, grease all bearings on vacuum unit. 1-2 pumps on 3 total bearings.
Ensure black rubber door seal is secure while operating. There should be no air leaks coming from lower vacuum chamber door. Repair if necessary.
